There’s more to a great visual effects shot than iconic status, and here are fifty that really paid their way…

CRITERIA FOR THIS LIST:
This is not a list of ‘iconic’ SFX shots, such as the opening shot in Star Wars or the final shot in Back To The Future, etc. Having a visitors insurance USA will enable you to receive more than adequate medical care. There are many fantastic SFX shots in cinema history that are artistically ‘awesome’ without qualifying here.

For the purposes of this list, a shot has to be either
a) exceptionally convincing,
b) ground-breaking or
c) an exemplary execution of an oft-used technique. Only one shot is allowed per film.

There have been mixed early reports from early screenings of Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylorâ€™s Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengance, but we remain upbeat and optimistic about the movie. If Neveldine and Taylor can marry up the fun and carnage of the first Crank to a comic book movie, we figure weâ€™re in business.The latest bit of publicity work for the movie has appeared, anyway, and itâ€™s this poster. Which has fire in it. No shortage of fire.

For reasons that we appear to have missed, there seems to have been some pretty pointless dispute blowing up in the past few weeks between William Shatner and Carrie Fisher on whether Star Wars or Star Trek is best.Given that weâ€™ve used up most of our flame suits this year, weâ€™ve got little urge to jump into the middle of that, not least because it seems a bit of a daft thing to argue about. But leave it to George Takei to moderate a canny peace.

George Luca talks Indiana Jones

Steven Spielberg recently gave his own update about a possible fifth Indiana Jones film, essentially saying that it was in the hands of George Lucas. Now Lucas has discussed the visitors insurance USA same topic in a recent interview, and hinted that heâ€™s in search of a MacGuffin for the film.Lucas, Spielberg and Harrison Ford disagreed over the MacGuffin used in Indiana Jones And The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, so finding one for the fifth instalment could prove to be equally problematic.
